Ella’s practice spans all aspects of dispute resolution, particularly commercial and public law litigation and international arbitration.

Ella joined JHA as an Associate in 2018, having qualified as a lawyer in New Zealand in 2013, having been a Senior Solicitor at one of New Zealand’s leading law firms. Ella has acted on contractual disputes, judicial review, statutory interpretation, and shareholder disputes. She also acts on high-value, complex arbitrations and has been involved with cases before the ICSID and ICC, as well as ad hoc tribunals.

Ella’s clients come from a wide range of industry sectors, both private and public sector, and domestic and multinational clients. She has advised in the areas of banking and finance, international investment, anti-money laundering, human rights, class actions, insolvency, trusts and estates, non-discrimination, electoral law, public law, insurance, and accident compensation law.
