Our Private Client team has seen exceptional organic growth in recent years, as we see increasing client demand from international UHNW clients for proactive tax planning and structuring advice.
We are seeking an outstanding professional to join the team. This is a hands-on but technical role, focused on advising clients on complex tax matters relating to trusts, estates, and cross-border structuring and leading on implementation of projects.
You will work on sophisticated and complex client mandates, such as reviewing and optimising family holding structures, advising on trust establishment (including jurisdiction selection, trustee appointments, powers, etc.), and dealing with tax planning in response to legislative changes.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside leading practitioners in a collaborative team, with exposure to a wide range of exceptionally rewarding private client work. This role would suit someone who is pragmatic, forward-thinking, and thrives in a varied role.
• Providing expert tax advice on trusts, estates, and private client structures for HNW/UHNW individuals and families.
• Advising on cross-border tax issues, particularly for non-UK domiciled clients.
• Drafting and reviewing trust documentation to align with clients’ objectives.
• Managing client relationships and liaising with family offices and other professional advisers.
• Supporting the team on administration of estates.
• Dealing with the practical implementation of structures.
• Responding to client needs on a wider variety of family office issues.
• Strong academic qualifications from a highly regarded university (or equivalent).
• Qualified as a barrister or solicitor in the United Kingdom, ideally at least 5 years’ Call/PQE – or qualified accountant at Senior Manager level or above.
• Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification would be preferable.
• Substantial experience in private client tax, trusts, estates, and probate.
• Demonstrable technical expertise in UK and international tax matters.
• Experience working with HNW/UHNW individuals and family offices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organisation skills, and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
• Desire to be part of a forward-thinking, fast-paced and dynamic firm.
• Proactive with a hands-on attitude and an enthusiasm for engaging in a wide breadth of duties.
