PROFILE
Adem joined JHA as an Associate in 2025. He specialises in complex, high-value international arbitration and commercial litigation. His work primarily involves cross-border elements, particularly related to the US, the CIS, Eastern Europe and Middle East. He acts for a broad range of clients, from large corporations to entrepreneurs, private families and HNWIs in the UK and abroad.
Recent cases include: successfully representing a Claimant in an LCIA Arbitration involving a US$1 billion+ claim related to inter-group loans used in a leveraged buyout, with associated proceedings in Cyprus and BVI; successfully representing the Claimants in several LCIA Arbitrations over minority shareholding rights in a Siberian coal mine, including successfully defending challenges under s67 and s68 of the Arbitration Act; successfully representing a bank shareholder in a shareholders’ dispute involving six arbitration proceedings and numerous injunctions in England and Cyprus; obtaining the first anti-suit and anti-anti-suit injunction granted by the English Court in respect of Article 248 of the Russian Civil Code.
Before joining JHA, Adem worked at a boutique disputes firm in London.
