Cora specialises in tax disputes. She represents corporate and private clients across a wide range of direct and indirect tax disputes, from initial enquiry through to litigation and ADR, as well as on high-value disclosures.
Cora has a particular interest in international tax disputes, and has acted for clients including a multinational group in proceedings concerning the interpretation of a double taxation agreement, which resulted in a change to local law. She has also advised on matters involving unsuccessful tax planning, including by way of claims for mistake and rectification, as well as on associated professional negligence disputes arising out of the primary tax matter.
Prior to joining JHAB, Cora began her career at a magic circle law firm, advising on the tax implications of corporate transactions, before moving to an international law firm in London to specialise as a tax disputes lawyer. This earlier transactional experience informs a commercially-minded approach to resolving disputes, with a clear focus on what matters most to clients.
