PROFILE
Mei joined JHA as an associate in 2024, specialising in international arbitration and commercial litigation. Mei’s practice has focused on company disputes, in particular shareholder disputes referred to international arbitration. Mei has also specialised in obtaining urgent interim injunctive relief for clients. Often Mei’s cases involve multi-jurisdictional issues.
Recent cases include obtaining the first anti-suit and anti-anti-suit injunction granted by the English Court in respect of Article 248 of the Russian Civil Code; acting for a successful Defendant in a number of LCIA arbitrations in respect to a shareholder dispute over control of a Bank; and acting for the successful Claimants in several LCIA arbitrations who were minority shareholders involved in a dispute for control of a Siberian open-pit coal mine.
