PROFILE
Tessa joined JHA as an Associate in 2020. Her practice is focused on commercial litigation and international arbitration, including before ICSID and ICC. Tessa has represented and advised companies, governments and individuals from a variety of jurisdictions, recently acting in contract proceedings and international law disputes and advising on regulatory issues.
Tessa previously worked at the Government Legal Department, managing complex litigation for government departments including the Cabinet Office and the Prime Minister’s Office. Prior to that, she acted on and appeared in inquiries, judicial reviews and fiduciary duties litigation on behalf of the New Zealand Crown. Tessa has acted across all levels of the New Zealand and UK courts, including in specialised tribunals.
